Nautical Coffee Table Redo

July 4, 2013 ·

Yesterday I mentioned that we removed our existing end table and coffee table and put a DIY trunk table and made over pie crust in their places.
Both of the cast out pieces were still solid but were dinged up and discolored.  Each received a makeover and today I’d like to show you how we changed up the this knobby coffee table.

We purchased this set from my sister’s in-laws when we moved into our house 5 years ago.  They displayed shells in the drawer below the glass.  It got me thinking a nautical inspired makeover would do just the trick.

Here it is new and nautical.

I’d love for you to stop over at The DIY Club to see the what it took to get this table ship shape.  I used General Finishes Milk Paint in Coastal Blue from Rockler.  It was the perfect blue for a nautical makeover and might be my new favorite navy.
