White Empire Dresser

March 6, 2013 ·

This unique empire came to us via a friend of a friend.  Old, beautiful, but in sore need of some TLC.

I don’t know how old this big beauty is but her knobs were attached with wood screws!

As per a custom order we painted the entire piece including the wood knobs in ASCP Pure White, lightly distressed, and sealed with clear wax.

One of the original little wood knobs was missing so we replaced both with cute little glass knobs from Hobby Lobby.

Ready for her new home.

It must be old if the knobs had wooden screws! I've never seen that before! Beautiful job, Jessica!

so cute!!! i have done dressers like this in the past and i always love the little glove boxes on top! something so charming about them, and i think they look so much sweeter painted a soft color/white.

Beautiful! You distress in all the right places. Love the crystal knobs at the top. Sweet touch.

So beautiful! I agree with Freckles, you do the distressing perfectly – not overdone, just right. That is the hardest part for me.
