DIY Vintage Inspired Hamper

July 24, 2013 ·

My husband and I teamed up to put together this vintage style industrial hamper.  I envisioned, he planned, I planned, we combined plans, he built, and I sewed.

The result:
Our new hamper!

The entire piece was built around (and upon) these gorgeous porcelain casters from Rockler.

I love it! I've been thinking of what to do with our master bedroom closet. We have a tiny room and and even tinier closet (so, no room in there, either). Currently we have a standard, plastic hamper just setting next to the dresser – not stylish at all! Your idea is a great one. I've also thought about utilizing a trunk at the end of the bed as a hamper. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks! A trunk sounds like a great idea! We still have our plastic tubs for transferring laundry to haul to and from the laundry room. šŸ™‚
