Blush and Gold Dresser Redo

December 30, 2013 ·

What better way to celebrate my Golden Birthday then to share a blush and gold furniture makeover with you!

This pretty piece always had good bones but the badly damaged finish wasn’t doing much for its beautiful details.

Several coats of pale pink paint (mixed with calcium carbonate) and some gold bling gave it the wow factor all those details deserved.

I hand painted all of the woodwork details with gold leaf paint.  It was my first time using it and I LOVE it!! Paints on so smooth and has the same look as gold leafing without any frustration and mess.

The gorgeous Antique English Heart Knobs were provided by D. Lawless Hardware.  They look awesome and are on sale for only $1.00 a piece.  The regular price of $2.80 is still a total steal!

Aren’t they so pretty!

If you haven’t stopped over to check out the hardware at D. Lawless I highly recommend it.  Their prices are superb and they have a wonderful selection.  Some of my personal favorites are the carnival glass and milk glass knobs and pulls.

Disclosure: I received the Antique English Heart Knobs from D. Lawless Hardware as a resident blogger for The DIY Club.  As always the project and opinions of the product are my own.
