One Room Challenge, Week 3: Boys Room Update

October 17, 2014 ·

Week two of the One Room Challenge has officially come to an end.

In six weeks I hope to completely transform our boys’ room.
Week one, I shared our plans for the space.
Last week, I shared the Boxwood Green window trim and door painting progress.
I hit a bit of a lull this week with the boys’ room.  Mostly because we’re having central air and heat put in so there have been extra bodies throughout our house all week long!  Top that with lots of rain and my plans for some spray painting projects were put on hold.
I did manage to sand and stain two old fruit crates to turn into wall storage.  I also made a trip into town to pick up another bag of Boxwood Milk Paint.  If you stopped in last week I mentioned I hoped to add a third coat of paint to the trim and doors.  Now I can!
Since I don’t have any pretty progress photos to share, I put together a design board of elements we already have or plan to buy for the space.

Autumn Buchanan Tartan Blanket / Globe (Barn Sale) / Industrial Sconce
Forest Crewel (Etsy) / Tiered Ladder Shelf / First Aid Box / Antler Toothbrush Holder
Boxwood Milk Paint / Plaid Storage Box (Home Goods)

Hopefully next week I’ll have some pretty progress photos to share.
Now, don’t forget to stop over at Calling it Home to see what the other One Room Challenge participants have been up to this week.

Thanks Wendy! We actually had that sconce in our son's old room (we moved this year) and I love it! Looks great and has a low price tag! There's a couple color options too!

Hopefully I'll get it done in the 6 week time frame!! I'm excited to have a truly finished space in our "new" house.

    Thanks Kendra!
Just to let you know I tried to comment on your blog and it wouldn't go through. If you could check for my comment in spam that would be a big help. For some reason a lot of my comments have been going to spam on WordPress blogs instead of being posted.
