Dining Room Progress and Plans : One Room Challenge Week 2

April 10, 2015 ·

A week has already flown by in the One Room Challenge!

Last Thursday I shared before images of our dining room.

Over this past week I have continued to gather inspiration and hammer down our plans for the space.

(Please be courteous and click through to Pin images from original sources.)

I would love a rustic table with white top to pair with our dark bentwoods.

Bead board backed plate racks are happening!

The buffet and hutch are going to be painted in Layla’s Mint, Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint.

I’m obsessed with using Iola Rose wallpaper somewhere in the room.

I would love to strip down our bench and give it a worn weathered look.

These beautiful soaps have inspired my color palette.

We gathered supplies this week and began working on our massive wall to wall window seat/bench and plate rack built-in!!  I had a chance to pencil out the exact layout of the plate racks and hubby built the bench and rerouted the duct work.

Here’s the only picture proof I have of the project so far.

That’s the front of some wall to wall seating, right there!

We’re on our way!  Lots left to do but progress has been made.

Now, don’t forget to visit all the other One Room Challenge rooms over at Calling It Home.

You are accomplishing so much so quickly!! I understand now where the soaps come in with your dining room design – what a beautiful palette. And I love the idea of stripping down your bench. Can't wait to follow your progress!!

I LOVE where you are going with this! Your inspiration pictures are awesome, and for some reason I really like that soap picture.

The soap image just has such a levelly palette! Took the full 6 weeks but we finished! http://dearemmeline.blogspot.com/2015/05/dining-room-reveal-one-room-challenge.html
